A hike along the Jurassic Coast* will turn back time by around 200 million years and provide insights into the age of the dinosaurs. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this area feels like a land before time. But the steep cliffs aren’t just known for their fossils – they also offer spectacular views of the striking Durdle Door rock formation. Meanwhile, the world-famous, prehistoric Stonehenge and Salisbury* were created by human hands. The stone altar of concentric circles has a mystical feel and is the setting of numerous legends and sagas. In Salisbury, you will find yourself wondering what stories the walls could tell in the medieval town and the 13th-century Salisbury Cathedral. The circular Lulworth Cove, where you will stop on your scenic journey through Dorset and visit to Corfe Castle*, seems almost too flawless to have evolved naturally.
