In the remote island state of Tuvalu, explore the small “capital” Funafuti. A welcome ceremony with dance greets you on Butaritari, one of the Gilbert Islands. The scattered atolls and over 1,000 islands of the Marshall Islands are still undiscovered by tourists today – Mili Atoll, for instance, home to sea turtles and coconut crabs. Get to know Majuro Atoll on a tour* or while swimming and snorkelling*. With a lagoon of almost 700 km² (270 mi.²), the Jaluit Atoll gives a sense of total isolation. Many of the Caroline Islands cannot even be found on a map. But your experts know a thing or two about the colonial era there, the turmoil of the world wars and the flora and fauna.
