This cruise brings you the best of British golf. This is not necessarily always just about a polished layout – it is the very natural terrains that make these holes special and determine the course of a game. The icing on the cake is when you can head back to the clubhouse with a successful score and order a glass of the local single malt.
Sat 05.08.2023 Fowey, England – Lanhydrock Golf Club – additional course 1
This parkland course nestled amongst mature trees lies in a valley near Bodmin in the heart of Cornwall. Players need precision here – the moderately sized landing zones demand an accurate approach. This means it might be wise to take one club less, as there’s little that will save you if your ball disappears into the undergrowth around the trees.
Mon 07.08.2023 Bantry, Ireland – Bantry Bay Golf Club
Golf fans can look forward to a combination of parkland and links course here. The holes lie right on Bantry Bay, offering views of the town of Bantry. It’s a good idea to make use of a golf cart for the rather hilly fairways. The original traditional layout has plenty of surprises in store during a round. You may find that the tee for one hole needs to be played across the green of the previous hole, for instance.
Wed 09.08.2023 Galway, Ireland – Galway Bay Golf Resort
The Irish professional golfer Christy O’Connor Jr has created an enchanting blend of classic links style and resort course here right on the Atlantic coast. The holes have rather unusual wide fairways, paired with plenty of typical pot bunkers and small, fast greens. On top of all this, you have the views and the wind off the Atlantic to contend with.
Fri 11.08.2023 Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland – Ballyliffin Golf Club
This classic links course is up in the north of the island of Ireland. Nature has had a key hand in the design of the course here. The very undulating dune terrain shapes the entire golfing landscape right on the Atlantic coast. The blind spots this creates are just one of the features of this original course design. – A golfing adventure that will transport players back to the origins of the game.
Mon 14.08.2023 Invergordon, Scotland – Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Links
One of the oldest golf courses in Scotland is waiting for you. The golf community has been fascinated by the golf links here since 1793. On a peninsula in the Moray Firth you will find the 18 long, narrow holes in typical links style. Whereby you come across numerous pot bunkers, which obviously originate from the pen of five-time Open champion James Braid. He reworked the course again in 1932 after the model of Royal Dornoch. All in all, a very nice Scottish golf experience!
Wed 16.08.2023 Newhaven, Scotland – Dalmahoy Country Club – East Course – additional course 2
This 36-hole course is one of the more typical English-style golf courses. Players will need precision for their round, but those who can send their ball in the right direction on the rather narrow holes will love and enjoy this course. The championship course also has numerous water hazards in store, which find their way into play now and then.
