The new expedition class

To embark on an expedition is to be where nature sets the rhythm. Where experience is your teacher and surprising moments are unforgettable. To embark on an expedition is to get up close. And we will take you there.

The wind in your hair and the spray on your skin – become an explorer under an open sky. This is why our ships have more open deck space than any other expedition ship. Hear the ice crack as you stand on the bow. Or discover the dense mangrove forests of the Amazon from various perspectives as they pass by at arm’s length.

The expedition ships are planned to launch in April 2019 (HANSEATIC nature) and October 2019 (HANSEATIC inspiration).

Please note: The HANSEATIC nature will be a German-speaking ship, with all cruises conducted in German only. The HANSEATIC inspiration will be an international ship, with all cruises conducted in both English and German.

Welcome on board

The HANSEATIC nature & HANSEATIC inspiration are small and manoeuvrable expedition ships, which will accompany you on the expedition of your life. Be it an adventurous Zodiac excursion or floating over the ocean on one of the two glass-floored balconies – come face to face with nature and enjoy unforgettable moments and breathtaking views. With telescopes and a 180-degree panorama, the new Observation Deck offers particular comfort.

The marina is the convenient starting point for a range of warmwater activities.

The new deck track at the bow puts you in the front row for wildlife sightings.

Two extendible glass-floored balconies on the Sun Deck provide a unique feeling of floating over the ocean.
