Recognising and rewarding excellence in the cruise holiday sector - and in their third year - The Wave Awards are owned and run by Real Response Media, UK publishers of magazines World of Cruising, Cruise Trade News and Cruise Destinations. The majority of the awards are based on rigorous assessment of submitted entries, judged by an independent panel of cruise travel experts, chaired by World of Cruising editor, Louise Robinson.

Karl J. Pojer, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises says: “We are delighted at winning the category ‘Best Adventure / Expedition Cruise Line’ at this year's Wave Awards in London, underlining Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ commitment to striving to achieve the very best standards of hospitality. With our fleet of currently two expedition vessels we offer outstanding products and expedition experiences and continue with our efforts to improve every day. We will launch two new state-of-the art expedition vessels, HANSEATIC nature and HANSEATIC inspiration to set even higher standards. This accolade will rise the expedition standards to a new horizon in both hard- and software”.
