Golf & Cruise On Board the EUROPA 2: A Perfect Combination

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ five-star-plus* luxury cruise ship, the EUROPA 2 offers opportunities for the growing number of amateur golfers to practice their game on designated Golf & Cruise Voyages. Two PGA professionals accompany the golf cruises and support the guests on board with training in the simulators, as well as on shore when guests can play on some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. Golfing for kids & teens is now also available on the EUROPA 2, making golf accessible to the whole family.

he EUROPA 2 is equipped with two state-of-the-art golf simulators. Guests and golf enthusiasts can practice on 15 different golf courses, including the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in Hawaii, the Gleneagles Golf Course and St. Andrews in Scotland. One of the innovative simulators also features integrated video analysis, which accurately assesses every stroke in terms of speed, length, angle and line of flight. This allows the PGA professional to give guests detailed critiques for the next drive, and help them master their game during excursions on the beautiful courses.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Golf & Cruise packages include: the green fees for each course, accompaniment by a PGA professional ashore and on board, transfers, bag transport, golf club cleaning, and use of the fitting station.

Kids & Golf: Playing golf with the EUROPA 2’s family mascot
On-board equipment designed for children, and future golfers between the ages of six and ten, allow kids to take their first swing at golf on a trial weekend with the golf pro. Capt’n Knopf will also be there - the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ family cruise mascot - who will encourage the children to take a swing at golf. For children who find golf fun, parents can also book personal hour-long sessions with the golf pro.
