Or in the area around St Anne’s Cathedral, once popular with seafarers and now a bustling art and media district. The Titanic Belfast* experience centre is also worth a visit. Not far from Belfast, the 60-million year old Giant’s Causeway*; a rock formation consisting of around 40,000 basalt columns which stretches along the coast – a spectacular UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
Opened in 1849, you will immediately feel like you have been transported back to the 19th century. Pubs in Belfast do not get more atmospheric than the Crown Liquor Saloon.
