A relaxed afternoon: meander through the little spot at the mouth of the Rauma in the Romsdalsfjord.

On a riverboat safari to the Norwegian–Russian border*, you visit the Boris Gleb Church. Untiring sledge dogs accompany you on the Husky tour*, and you can walk with the animals through the region’s wonderful natural landscapes.

Many Arctic expeditions began at the “Gateway to the Arctic Ocean”. Today the polar museum is a reminder of these days, and at the experience centre Polaria*, you can walk through a simulated snowstorm. Travelling by rigid inflatable boat* and with a bit of luck, you will see musk oxen, seals and seabirds.

Hellesylt/Sunnylvenfjord, 14.30 – 18.00 hrs
Passing rushing waterfalls, the EUROPA carries you through Norway’s famous fjord. Ashore, fantastic fjords, mountains and glaciers await you en route to Hellesylt* or the expansive view from the 1,500-metre-high Dalsnibba*. Kayaking* through the Geirangerfjord – an unforgettable natural delight.
Vik/Sognefjord, 9.00 – 11.00 hrs
Flam/Aurlandsfjord, 13.30 – 20.00 hrs
Leave the EUROPA for an impressive overland excursion* through fjord landscape to Flam*. You will visit the 12th century Hopperstad stave church, see the pretty Raundal Valley from the Bergen-Oslo railway and take a seat on the Flam Railway, Europe’s steepest normal-gauge railway.
All aboard! The Flam Railway* will take you on its steep track past waterfalls and heavenly scenery to Vatnahalsen. Continue on foot, on a walk through the picturesque Flam Valley.
Relaxation at sea
Oslo, arrival 8.00 hrs
Oslo’s* key sights include the Royal Palace, the ski-jumping hill Holmenkollen and the inspirational Vigeland Park. On the museum island of Bygdoey*, you will follow in the footsteps of the Vikings and their ships, marvel at the transportation of Thor Heyerdahl and the polar vessel Fram. In the evening, the dress code is a poncho and gloves when you visit Icebar*.
