Terms an conditions of entry

The tour operator for the competition is Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, a subsidiary of TUI Cruises GmbH. Anyone aged 18 or over is eligible to enter. who has reached the age of 18 by 31 December 2026. Employees of TUI Cruises GmbH and their family members, as well as employees of Swiss Golf, are excluded. Entry to the competition is free of charge. Participation using false identities or the identities of third parties is not permitted. A prize draw from among all entrants will take place by random selection within 10 days from 1 January 2027. The winner, chosen at random, will be contacted by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises by email. The winner must then claim their prize within 5 working days and reply by email to cooperations@hl-cruises.com. The right to a prize payout will lapse if a winner does not come forward within this period. The prize will then be raffled off again amongst all entrants. The prize applies exclusively to the products/trip offered as prizes in the competition. The tour operator’s general terms and conditions of travel apply. Cash payments, exchanges or transfers of the prize are not permitted. If you do not set off on the trip, all claims will lapse. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons, if the proper conduct of the competition cannot be guaranteed due to fraud, technical issues or other reasons beyond Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ control. Legal recourse is excluded. The closing date for entries is 30 December 2026 at 11.59 pm. 

Data protection

As part of your participation in the prize draw, we process personal data (if you win: Title, first name and surname, email address, user communications). The processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1), first sentence, point (a) of the GDPR.  Your participation in the competition and your consent are voluntary. By taking part, you are also agreeing to receive our newsletter and consenting to us contacting you by post. We process your data for this purpose on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.  You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. Your data will only be disclosed to third parties where this is required by law (e.g. disclosure to port authorities). In exceptional cases (e.g. port authorities abroad), we may also transfer your data to authorities in third countries for the purpose of fulfilling the contract, on the basis of Article 49(1)(b) of the GDPR. In accordance with the legal requirements set out in Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO) and Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB), your data will be retained for 10 years. On the basis of your consent, we will store this data until you withdraw your consent. You must provide your details in order to take part in the prize draw.
