    Relaxation at sea
  • In France, Brest surprises visitors with a mixture of modernism, neoclassicism, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Explore the city on your own and soak up the savoir-vivre. Those who want to enjoy nature can take a hike on the Crozon Peninsula. Located in the far west, it is one of the most impressive landscapes in Brittany. The peninsula features steep coasts with high cliffs and bizarre rock formations.

  • The backdrop of the coastal town of Fowey has a rather Mediterranean feel to it. Located at the mouth of the river of the same name, the town stretches along the steep coastal slope, with white sailing boats and motorboats forming a picturesque contrast to the azure blue water. Discover the beauty of Cornwall from here: the sea crashes against the rocks, and romanticism hangs over the fishing villages – just like in the novels of Rosamunde Pilcher, who was born in the region. The surrounding area also offers many fairytale gardens that provide insights into the classic garden architecture of the Victorian era.

  • Rarely does a route combine all five Channel Islands. The HANSEATIC spirit has allowed plenty of time for the unknown and yet-to-be-discovered. First, on Jersey, you enjoy a Mediterranean atmosphere in picturesque bays during a coastal walk¹. There is hardly a more strategic location for a fortress, as demonstrated by a visit to Mont Orgueil Castle¹: built on rock, surrounded by cliffs, it towers above the fishing village of Gorey. One of the finest gardens of the Channel Islands is La Seigneurie. This paradise, laid out around an 18th-century manor house, can be visited individually on the small rocky island of Sark. Herm, too, is an idyll for nature lovers. On a walk around the island with your experts, you stroll past beautiful beaches and viewpoints. The nature of Guernsey once inspired Renoir. How the mild climate of the Gulf Stream allows a magnificent and exotic variety of plants to flourish is traced during the Vintage Flair classic bus tour on Guernsey¹. Equally unforgettable images are painted by the rich flora and fauna of Alderney. A walk along the west coast¹ offers views of cliffs, bays and the nesting sites of thousands of gannets. Alternatively, exploring the island by bicycle¹ invigorates both body and mind. Destination: a lighthouse dating from 1912.

  • The first-ever destination for the new expedition class is Poole. This small town in the county of Dorset serves as your starting point for an excursion to Stonehenge¹. Unravel the mysteries of Europe’s most famous Stone Age monument. Its true purpose remains open to interpretation, and countless myths and legends surround this megalithic site.

    Relaxation at sea
  • The red sandstone of a North Sea beauty sends out a striking signal: Helgoland. Often forgotten, yet a true explorer’s destination for the HANSEATIC spirit. Take your time to enjoy Germany’s solitary island on a leisurely walk. The Lange Anna adds a natural exclamation mark to the great wealth of contrasts on this special journey.
