Experience the world’s best golf courses with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

On our exclusive Golf & Cruise voyages, we have reserved the best golf courses for you in advance and put together attractive basic packages.

    Basic package: four courses
    € 2,390 per person

A golfing cruise to the origins of golf. On the courses visited on this cruise, golf has been played very traditionally for centuries. All these courses have one thing in common: they have a natural layout and the game is first and foremost a very enjoyable pastime. Let yourself be whisked away to the origins of golf. – Fun is particularly important, so make it an experience.

Sun, 31.05.2026, Portsmouth, Great Britain – Royal Winchester Golf Club
This 18-hole course looks back on a centuries-old history. The mixture of parkland and links course in the Hampshire Downs was designed by J. H. Taylor back in 1888. In typical British style, great importance is attached to the bunkering of the fairways. This is why the pot bunker-like features were also completely redesigned in 2019. The otherwise wide fairways almost always offer players a feasible approach to the final goal if they keep an eye on the sand hazards.

Wed, 03.06.2026, Dun Laoghaire – Ireland – Powerscourt Golf Club – East Course
Like the West Course, the 18 holes of the East Course are situated above the village of Bray. They are all designed in a parkland style and need to be played with care due to their design – especially as the fairways are extensively equipped with bunkers. The first hole alone, a par 4 with a length of 343 m (375 yd), is guarded by seven impressive, well-positioned sand hazards. The dreaded pot bunkers also appear on the way to the finish, which should be avoided if possible.

Thu, 04.06.2026, Liverpool, England, Great Britain – Wallasey Golf Club
A typical links course, typically British, typically traditional golf. This is the Wallasey Golf Club. Founded back in 1891, this course offers a golfing journey back in time to the origins of the game. The 18 well-maintained fairways still feature the original dune terrain and have been designed accordingly. The path to the finish is repeatedly protected in important landing areas by numerous deep pot bunkers. The fairways are all surrounded by heather or dune grass plants. – A special golfing experience awaits you here.

Tue, 09.06.2026, Newhaven (Edinburgh), Scotland, Great Britain – Bruntsfield Links Golf Club
The parkland course is in excellent condition and features some sweeping fairways. And this despite the fact that golf was first played in this area in 1761 with five links-style holes. This makes the origin of the course one of the fourth oldest golfing experiences in the world. After several relocations, the original design began to be changed and expanded again and again at the beginning of the 19th century, with the result that the former links specification gradually developed into a parkland course. Today, the course is a typical parkland course in the best sense of the word, with significant mature trees.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    • Please note: In order to guarantee a comfortable flow of play for all golfers, we have determined a basic speed, which is sufficient for a playing time of 4.5 to 5 hours on foot (covering 18 holes with a trolley).
    • Due to tournaments or renovations, etc. at the various golf clubs, our Golf & Cruise programme is subject to change at short notice.
    • Golf & Cruise voyages allow all players with a handicap index of 36 or better to play on courses all over the world.
    • Additional courses can only be booked in conjunction with the basic package.
    • Reservation of e-carts cannot always be guaranteed due to local availability and/or the weather conditions. You may, therefore, have to play and walk just with trolleys – possibly even on hilly courses. Please consider this when planning/booking your Golf & Cruise package.
    • Halfway refreshments are always ordered via the respective golf club; we have no influence on the quality of the snacks. We kindly ask for your understanding.
    • When booking a Golf & Cruise package and flights through Hapag-Lloyd, we will register your golf equipment directly with the airlines – when possible and required. The current baggage regulations of the relevant airline apply. In your travel documents, which you will receive about four weeks prior to departure, you will find relevant information about this. Excess baggage fees for golf equipment are normally to be paid at check-in.
    • Minimum number of participants for basic package: twelve people.
    • Minimum number of participants for additional courses: ten people.
    • If the minimum number of participants is not reached, cancellation will occur no later than eight weeks prior to cruise departure.
    • Rental clubs for right-handed and left-handed players are available on board, subject to a surcharge.
