Sabine Christiansen is one of Germany’s best-known TV economic and political journalists. She spent more than ten years as a presenter on the popular TV news journal Tagesthemen, before spending the next decade on the leading programme for political debates on German television, as well as hosting an economics programme on the worldwide CNBC network. Sabine Christiansen has been the Managing Director of TV21 GmbH since 2002. In addition to her media work, she has also been on the boards of Hermes Europe since 2014 and of Freenet AG since 2016. She is also member on the German Economic Council and initiator of the business conference NEU DENKEN. She has won all the media awards for her work, sometimes more than once. Since the start of her career, Sabine Christiansen has always been highly committed to social projects. She is an ambassador for UNICEF Germany and Deputy Chairwoman of the Laureus Sports for Good foundation. She has been honoured with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Legion d’Honneur in France and with many international awards for her many years of social commitment.
