Tierra Negra
Since forming in 1997, guitarists Raughi Ebert and Leo Henrichs of Tierra Negra have enjoyed an international career. Their first concert in Montreal led to a record deal with Canada’s biggest indie label. Their success brought concerts worldwide, including major US guitar festivals and masterclasses at universities in Chicago, Peoria, Malibu, and the L.A. Music Academy. They toured 30 US states with Nashville-based guitarist Muriel Anderson and performed in China, South Korea, and Singapore.
Tierra Negra has released seventeen CDs and their music is streamed millions of times. They’ve composed film and TV music for German public television, and their educational books “New World Flamenco” and “Magic Gypsy Chords & Rhythms” became bestsellers.
In 2001, they introduced the “Tierra Negra Guitar” at the Frankfurt Musik Messe. Tierra Negra has collaborated with artists like Klaus Hoffmann, Stanley Jordan, Victor Wooten, and the Gipsy Kings, recording in renowned studios like Abbey Road and Foo Fighters' studio in Los Angeles.
