Everyone has a story to tell. The most interesting guests are invited by the popular host Inka Schneider to share their stories in the talk show “2 in One Boat” aboard the Zodiac on the stage of the EUROPA 2. The journalist is THE face of the iconic Red Sofa on NDR Television.

Inka Schneider

Always in dialogue. For 23 years, TV presenter Inka Schneider has hosted the popular talk program DAS! on NDR television, interviewing prominent guests from the worlds of entertainment, politics and science on the famous red sofa. The journalist was born in Rüsselsheim. After a year as an au pair in Paris, she studied social and business communication at the Berlin University of the Arts. This was followed by a traineeship at WDR in Cologne. Inka Schneider became known throughout Germany as a presenter and reporter on the ARD morning program and as a correspondent in the ARD Washington studio during the period around 9/11. Inka Schneider was a scholarship holder of the RIAS Berlin Foundation and the German Marshall Fund for Young European Leaders. She lives in Hamburg and Berlin and is married to author Sven Kuntze.

The gallery on Deck 9 of the EUROPA 2 is a place for exclusive art enjoyment. With regularly changing exhibitions, outstanding works of contemporary art are showcased – from paintings and smaller sculptures to photography and works on paper. Each exhibition is carefully curated and bears the distinctive signature of renowned galleries and artists. As a result, every journey becomes an inspiration for art lovers who not only want to experience art but also acquire it.

Rupprecht Matthies

The artist Rupprecht Matthies was born in Hamburg in 1959 and lives in Hamburg, where he has a large studio, and in Berlin, where he has a suitcase and a small studio.  He is a master of the word and of collecting. A word, a thought, a concept. This creates an interplay between the three participants: a word becomes sculpture, calligraphy becomes three-dimensional, changing its state from ink to acrylic. Thoughts are literally placed in space. Many of his objects and projects are created in the context of social and personal narratives. For our cruise, he has designed special objects and images that relate to scripts and signs from India and Asia. Rupprecht Matthies has exhibited his works in Mumbai/India, Pusan/South Korea, Denver/USA and many other places worldwide.
