Founded in 1999, DDC is one of the most renowned breakdance crews in the German-speaking world. Combining breakdance with modern artistry, they have won numerous awards. The crew has toured worldwide, performed at major festivals, and produced over 300 shows, including "Breakin' Mozart." DDC is known for gala shows, TV appearances, and large live events. In 2013, they founded their own company and also provide talent development at the DDC Factory. Since 2023, their tour program "Breakin' Circus" has been on the road.

Fil Bo Riva, born Filippo Bonamici in Italy, is an artist hard to categorize. After growing up in Rome and Ireland, he moved to Berlin in 2012, where he founded the project Fil Bo Riva in 2015. 

He gained attention with his debut single "Like Eye Did" and the 2016 EP "If You’re Right, It’s Alright." Support slots with Milky Chance and Imagine Dragons, plus sold-out tours and festivals, marked 2017-2018. His 2019 debut album "Beautiful Sadness" was followed by his largest European tour, but the pandemic briefly halted his career. After a personal break, his long-awaited second album "Modern Melancholia" was released in September 2024, accompanied by a successful European tour. Fil Bo Riva is currently working on new material, possibly to be released this year.

"Alliage" is arguably the most charming alloy (French: alliage) of four saxophones and piano. Unique in its instrumentation, the ensemble creates the illusion of a large orchestra. The melodically and expressively resonant saxophones blend with the orchestral richness of the piano, producing a new listening experience of the highest quality. The core of Alliage’s repertoire consists of renowned masterpieces from all musical eras, arranged with exceptional sensitivity and refinement, tailored perfectly to the ensemble. With its repertoire, the quintet successfully navigates the fine line between sophisticated chamber music and high-level entertainment, winning over major concert halls across Germany and Europe, such as the Elbphilharmonie, Konzerthaus Vienna, Konzerthaus Berlin, Cologne Philharmonie, Baden-Baden Festspielhaus, and venues in Madrid, Rome, and Lucerne, among others. The group’s tours to Australia, the USA, and Asia further bolster its international reputation. Several of their albums, released by Sony Classical, MDG, and Hyperion, have been awarded multiple accolades.

"Every beginning has its magic," wrote Hermann Hesse. When the Commeter Art Gallery opened in 1821 on Johannisstraße, it was the first business of its kind in Hamburg. The founders, Ernst Georg Harzen and Johann Matthias Commeter, significantly shaped the city's art scene and left a lasting legacy with 30,000 engravings and drawings that founded the Kupferstichkabinett at the Kunsthalle. In 1847, Wilhelm Becker and Christian Meyer took over the gallery, which was further developed by Wilhelm Suhr in 1878 and moved to a magnificent Art Nouveau building in 1908. Suhr Junior led the gallery into the modern era, showcasing Munch, Nolde, and other Expressionists, becoming a key address for modern art. In 1952, Andreas Suhr took over, followed by his daughter Hella Suhr. Today, Carola Persiehl, a descendant of the founders, runs the gallery and features contemporary artists such as Jochen Hein, Maria Ikonomopoulou, and Klaus Schweier. In 2007, she co-founded the sister gallery Persiehl & Heine, specializing in contemporary photography. The gallery’s legacy of art enthusiasm and business acumen continues to thrive.

When the Commeter Art Gallery established its first location on Johannisstraße in 1821, it was the first business of its kind in Hamburg. Founding fathers Ernst Georg Harzen and Matthias Commeter played a significant role in shaping Hamburg's art scene. Today, the gallery remains a prominent institution in the city's art world. Over the decades, it has consistently been led by family members with a keen sense and passion for art. Since 1997, Carola Persiehl, whose great-great-grandfather took over the gallery, has managed the business. Under her leadership, the gallery has firmly established itself at the center of contemporary art. She follows a principle that has always been crucial to the gallery’s success: "You must fall in love with a painting to recommend it," she says about her work. A passion for art and business acumen, combined with the idealistic yet pragmatic belief that good, true, and beautiful things have their price, forms the legacy of Harzen and Commeter. This legacy has endured through the changing tides of history, providing the solid foundation for the art pieces that continue to be discovered at the Commeter Gallery today and in the future.
