Experience the world's most beautiful golf courses

From the Canary Islands, through the Strait of Gibraltar to the eastern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. This itinerary offers a rich variety not only in terms of maritime scenery, but also in terms of golf, with four very diverse courses selected for the programme. A golf and cruise holiday that will certainly prove a challenge even for the most discerning golfers.

Thu, 15.06.2028 Funchal (Madeira) – Santo da Serra Golf
As early as 1937, golfers of the time chose the current site on the plateau above Madeira Airport, which Robert Trent Jones Sr. redesigned in 1988. The result is 27 well-balanced holes. The altitude gives the course a distinct climatic advantage over the rest of the island. This is why you should dress appropriately, as temperatures are significantly lower than at sea level! The fairways split into two halves from the clubhouse. One section lies directly behind the clubhouse on an elevated plateau, whilst the rest of the course slopes downwards towards the west to the cliffs. The design features wide, well-modulated fairways, which should allow players of all abilities to finish on a high note.

Sun, 18.06.2028 Portimao (Portugal) – Amendoeira Resort Faldo Course
The resort boasts two 18-hole courses, one designed by Nick Faldo and one by Christy O’Connor Jr. The Faldo Course features a fairly typical American parkland design, with wide fairways leading to sweeping greens and featuring numerous sand, bunker and water hazards. The key to the round is to focus primarily on skilfully navigating around the hazards.

Tue, 20.06.2028 Malaga (Spain) – Torrequebrada Golf Club
A truly special golfing experience awaits you on this subtropical parkland course. The visual palette of nature alone – from the brown of the Sierra de Mijas to the blue of the nearby Costa del Sol, right through to the intense green of the greens – influences the game on this course. Half of the holes are designed to be played as doglegs around the corner. On the 6th hole, a par 5, the distance from the back tee is over 490 metres.

Thu, 22.06.2028 Valencia (Spain) – Campo de Golf Parador  El Saler
This championship adventure is set in the heart of the unique Albufera Nature Park, right on the Mediterranean coast. The blend of links and parkland courses allows for a relaxed round on sweeping fairways heading towards the green – but anyone who strays from the course will have their work cut out for them in the rough. The surrounding terrain consists of dense vegetation and challenging ground conditions that will test even experienced golfers. Even the view of the Mediterranean Sea stretching out before the course cannot distract you from the challenges. Careful course management is particularly advantageous here!

General information

  • In order to guarantee a comfortable flow of play for all golfers, we have determined a basic speed, which is sufficient for a playing time of 4.5 to 5 hours on foot (covering 18 holes with a trolley).
  • Due to tournaments, renovations, etc. at the various golf clubs, our Golf & Cruise programme is subject to change at short notice.
  • Golf & Cruise voyages allow all players with a handicap of 36 or less to play on courses all over the world.
  • Additional courses can only be booked in conjunction with the basic package.
  • The reservation of e-carts cannot always be guaranteed due to local availability and weather conditions. You may, therefore, have to play and walk just with trolleys - possibly even on hilly courses. Please consider this when planning/booking your Golf & Cruise package.
  • Halfway refreshments are always ordered via the respective golf club; we have no influence on the quality of the snacks. We kindly ask for your understanding.
  • When booking a Golf & Cruise package and flights through Hapag-Lloyd, we will register your golf equipment directly with the airlines – when possible and required. The current baggage regulations of the relevant airline apply. In your travel documents, which you will receive about four weeks prior to departure, you will find relevant information about this. Excess baggage fees for golf equipment are normally to be paid at check-in.
  • Rental clubs for right-handed and left-handed players are available on board, subject to a surcharge.
