Acoustic Pop / Folk
Morley
MORLEY is a Cologne-based folk-pop trio featuring the classically trained jazz musicians Lydia Schiller, Rosa Kremp, and Melissa Muther. Their multi-part harmonies lend their warm folk-pop sound a special depth and elegance, forming the heart of their distinctive sound. The all-female trio combines musical skill with a palpable lightness, creating a sound that is at once moving, uplifting, and lingers long after the music ends. Accompanied by guitar, ukulele, and bass, they craft delicately woven arrangements with great sonic openness. Musically, MORLEY moves between folk-inspired singer-songwriter pop and subtle jazz influences, inspired by The Staves, Fleetwood Mac, I’m with Her, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. MORLEY has performed at venues including the Gloria in Cologne, the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Peng Festival in Essen, the Jazzfrühling Kempten festival, and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament in Düsseldorf. Their debut album was nominated for the German Record Critics ’Award. Live, the trio captivates audiences with charm, humor, and a close connection to the crowd, delighting listeners with stylish, handcrafted music.
