Rupert Dussmann
Rupert Dussmann, originally from Cardiff (Wales), studied in London and has worked as a répétiteur and vocal coach at leading international opera houses since 1988. He held permanent positions at Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Hamburg State Opera, the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden, and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He has appeared as a guest at numerous venues including Dutch National Opera, Royal Opera House in London, Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, Salzburg Festival, Opera Australia, and the Glyndebourne Festival, among many others across Europe, Israel, the USA, and beyond. Dussmann served as Head of Music at the National Opera Studio in London and has worked extensively with young singers in Berlin and Tokyo. He has contributed to recordings for EMI, BMG, Teldec, and Decca, and collaborated with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim and Sir Simon Rattle, and singers including Plácido Domingo, Dorothea Röschmann, and Cecilia Bartoli.Â
