Prof. Christina Roll
Prof. Dr. Christina Roll, a native of Lower Bavaria, combines expertise in sports science, medicine, and psychotherapy with a holistic perspective. After completing her sports science degree (state examination and master’s degree, 1995), she began studying medicine at the University of Regensburg the same year. She earned two doctorates (Dr. med. 2004, Dr. phil. 2005) and co-developed the university’s sports medicine curriculum. She completed her specialist training in orthopaedics and trauma surgery, supplemented by additional qualifications in sports medicine, manual therapy, and acupuncture (A-diploma). In 2012, she habilitated in trauma surgery, and in 2019, she was appointed adjunct professor of orthopaedics and trauma surgery at the University of Regensburg. Since 2013, she has worked in outpatient rehabilitation and teaches in the fields of prevention, sports medicine, and rehabilitation. In 2018, she expanded her expertise to include psychotherapy, focusing on psychosomatically influenced musculoskeletal disorders—truly bridging body and mind. A sought-after speaker and expert—frequently featured on Bavarian Broadcasting—Prof. Roll is known for her scientific rigor, clear communication, and practical, engaging approach to complex topics.
