  • Classical Music

    Kammerfunk

With violin, clarinet, cello, and accordion, kammerfunk draws masters from different eras out of their reserves. This unique ensemble allows Bach to meet Mahler and arranges encounters between Johann and Richard Strauss. Their musical journey takes them from the Classical period through the Balkans to the Middle East and back to the coziness of Viennese wine taverns.

In their diverse repertoire Viennessence, the four musicians focus on the musical essence of the often-cited "capital of music." The charming playfulness of these musicians surprises the audience with unprecedented intensity, offering a refreshing perspective on Vienna's musical legacy.

The international ensemble consists of three musicians from the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and a solo accordionist. With their experience and distinctive instrumentation, kammerfunk creates a unique sound. In a playful approach to tradition, the ensemble presents both well-known and rarely performed works.
