  • Modern Fado / Portugese Songwriter

    MILHANAS

Milhanas, a young Portuguese singer and songwriter born in 2001, stands out for the authenticity of her music. She began studying violin and vocals at an early age, exploring jazz, modern music, and gospel. Influenced by her father and Portuguese literature, her lyrics are poetic and introspective.

In 2021, she released her first original song, "Lamentos," followed by "Mais que ao Sol" and "Mundo." Her debut album, De Sombra a Sombra (2023), explores soul-searching themes without becoming an "ode to sadness." The single "Eu de Prosa," inspired by fado and Amália Rodrigues, is a standout track.

Nominated for the 2024 Golden Globes in the Best Interpreter category, Milhanas is a rising star in Portuguese music. In late 2024, she released "Algo Mais," a single from her highly anticipated 2025 album. She started the year with two sold-out concerts at Casa da Música in Porto and CCB in Lisbon.

    Trio Spectre

The Trio Spectre was founded in 2014 by Kim-Harald Plattner and Michael Cohen-Weissert and has since established itself as a versatile chamber music ensemble. The trio takes its name from Ludwig van Beethoven’s famous “Ghost Trio” in D major, Op. 70 No. 1 – the first work the musicians performed together. “Spectre” means “ghost” in English and reflects the special atmosphere the ensemble seeks to create in its interpretations. Since its founding, the trio has received valuable artistic inspiration from renowned ensembles such as the Belcea Quartet and the Haydn String Quartet. As early as 2014, the Trio received two significant awards: First Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Tel Aviv and the Cultural Prize of the City of Jerusalem. Since then, Trio Spectre has appeared at international festivals and has been featured in numerous live radio broadcasts. The ensemble performs regularly abroad and is currently Artist in Residence at the Concert Hall in Qingdao (China). Since 2020, cellist Mon-Puo Lee has been a permanent member of the trio, shaping its shared sound with his expressive playing.
