    The highlights of this cruise

Glittering and mysterious, peaceful and romantic: do you know Scandinavia in winter? The HANSEATIC nature brings you very close to its most stunning places – right from the start when cruising through the Stockholm Archipelago before you experience the charming old town of Stockholm. Further up north a pioneering spirit surrounds you as you cruise off the Bothnian Sea and Bothnian Bay, depending on the weather and ice conditions. The nature Walk and the many open deck areas become your front-row seats to enjoy the expansive winter landscape around you. In Lulea, Swedish Lapland then offers fascinating days of discovery. A region that invites you to enjoy activities with sled dogs* or fat bikes* as well as winter hiking*. Make the most of the time to experience the culture and traditions of the Sami people*. With a bit of luck, you may be able to observe the Northern Lights when the night sky is clear. Northern lights also await you in Finnish Lapland. Kemi will delight outdoor enthusiasts with activities such as a snowmobile safari*, snowshoe hiking* or ice fishing*. A visit to Rovaniemi* with the Arktikum museum will deepen your knowledge of life in northern Europe. Oulu is another paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Your flexible expedition day in Bothnian Bay and the Bothnian Sea takes you to Finnish craftsmanship with bobbin lace and picturesque wooden houses in Rauma. Finally, enjoy Danish winter magic in Copenhagen. Reflect on your many unforgettable impressions and experiences during the daytime passage through the Kiel Canal.

The itinerary depends on weather and ice conditions. The natural experiences and Northern Lights sightings described are possibilities on this cruise and are not guaranteed.

    * The shore activities are not included in the cruise price and are in the planning stage. Subject to change.

    Your ship - HANSEATIC nature

    The new expedition class

The naming ceremony of the HANSEATIC nature took place in Hamburg on 4 May 2019. Together with its structurally identically sister ships HANSEATIC inspiration (2019) and HANSEATIC spirit (2021), the small and state-of-the-art expedition ship explores remote destinations and visits the world’s most fascinating natural landscapes on challenging routes.

The new expedition class – which offers space for a maximum of 230 guests (or 199 guests on Antarctic cruises and Spitsbergen circumnavigations) – sets standards in terms of variety, comfort and personal space. This is why our ship has more open deck space than any other expedition ship. Find out more!
