Calvi is one of Corsica?s most beautiful cities with a small old town filled with winding alleyways and squares dating back hundreds of years. Calvi is the ideal starting point for an excursion into the neighbouring area, especially to see the typical Corsican macchia. Macchia is an exuberant and enchanting mixture of thorn-covered and prickly sclerophyllous plants, trees, bushes and grasses. Typical plants include the common rock rose, phillyria, arbutus, myrtle, broom, buckthorn, thyme, lavender, fennel and rosemary. A special feature of Corsica are the tafoni, created by the weathering of medium to coarse-grained stones. They look somewhat like honeycomb and can be found in an extraordinary variety of shapes.

Mon 18.08.2025 Marseille, France – Golf Dolce Fregate Provence These 27 holes are located on a high plateau close to the Atlantic Ocean. They are divided into an 18-hole and a 9-hole course. The varied sweeping fairways work their way through the neighbouring vineyards and numerous olive groves, leading to generous, modulated greens that are not always easy to gauge. The natural setting with ample views of the Mediterranean Sea creates a very special atmosphere. The course’s extensive layout recommends the use of a golf cart.
Tue 19.08.2025 Cannes, France – Golf de Saint Donat Very well-kept 18 holes challenge the golfer to a round. The parkland course with its fairways laid out amidst a landscape of existing trees demands overview and precision, especially as the natural subsoil is very modulated. However, if you tee off with care, you should be able to toast your round with a refreshing result in the modern clubhouse after your game.
Fri 22.08.2025 Livorno (Florence), Italy – Castelfalfi Golf Club Here, in the heart of Tuscany, 27 fairways have been designed. They are divided into the Mountain Course (18 holes), with considerable differences in altitude, and the Lake Course (9 holes), which has exceptional panoramas and numerous water features. Typical of the region, you will be constantly accompanied by mature trees and olive groves on your round. The layout is designed in such a way that the beauty of nature is not significantly disturbed by the fairways. Perhaps this is the very trademark of the golf course.
