Currently, she is performing in five different theater productions: "Gut gegen Nordwind" and "Alle 7 Wellen" by Daniel Glattauer, the German premiere of "Eine verhängnisvolle Affäre" at the Hamburger Kammerspiele, the French comedy "Die Kehrseite der Medaille" by Florian Zeller in Frankfurt and Cologne, and the dark comedy "Sag nein zum Geld", starting in the summer of 2023 at the Bad Hersfeld Festival. As a director, Spiess staged Schiller's "Joan of Arc" with 450 participants on Germany's largest open-air stage in Ötigheim. In addition to his work in radio and theater productions, he frequently appears on television. Spiess has portrayed Francis of Assisi both on stage and on TV, and he played Jan Hus and Johannes Kepler in the ARTE production "Der Luther-Code." He has also appeared in various episodes and roles in the TV series "Tatort," "Ein Fall für Zwei," and "Alarm für Cobra 11." Many also know him as Commissioner Tiedemann from the daily soap "Unter Uns" and as a voice actor for audiobooks, radio dramas, and documentaries.
