CURATED CONCERTS

Here, it is the artist who decides what is performed

For each cruise, a prominent artist takes on the role of curator: they develop the concept, select musical partners and combine concerts on board with a special performance ashore – tailored to the instrument, repertoire and the cultural sites along the route. Chamber music as only we can create it – intimate, personal, and close to the artists.

The Artists

Among the first artists to feature in the series are the pianist Alexander Krichel, the soprano Shira Patchornik and the clarinettist David Orlowsky. They all represent a new generation of international classical musicians who combine musical excellence with personal expressiveness and creative openness.

CURATED CONCERTS by Alexander Krichel

A special highlight awaits guests in Stockholm's Eric Ericson Hall: together with the actor Sabin Tambrea, pianist Alexander Krichel will present a stage programme that brings the almost forgotten art form of the melodrama back to life – featuring impressive recitations in dialogue with classical piano music.

CURATED CONCERTS by Shira Patchornik

As a prelude to their journey, guests in Stockholm will experience a concert in the historic Ulriksdal Palace Theatre: soprano Shira Patchornik, together with her Trio Cyrene and lutenist Elias Conrad, blends Baroque and folk music—interwoven with personal musical moments and a custom-arranged Swedish folk melody. Once on board, she will join Damien Bachmann (clarinet) and Marcelo Amaral (piano) to set further highlights, ranging from art songs and chamber music to celebrated-arias and duets.

CURATED CONCERTS by David Orlowsky

With clarinettist David Orlowsky’s distinctive musical language and the fusion of classical music, the chamber music tradition and creative openness, a programme emerges that opens up new ways of listening. A particular highlight is the concert on land at the Arctic Cathedral in Tromsø. The musical encounters on board invite you to experience the diversity of chamber music from different perspectives – in a personal, accessible way, shaped by the individual artistic styles of the performers.

Three cruises, three musical signatures

Each cruise combines two concerts on board with an evening concert ashore – at one of the cultural venues along the route.
