Greenland leaves no one cold with its many wonders. In summer, ice floes drift in the water, glaciers are reflected in the light and rugged cliffs become a diverse polar habitat. Your Arctic adventure gets off to an impressive start at various locations along the west coast. In the vast and silent landscape, icy white and delicate green compete with the colourful houses of the Inuit. Ideal terrain for hikes and excursions with your experts. Will the ice conditions allow the HANSEATIC spirit to reach remote places with a moving history of settlements and exploration on the north-west coast? Time and again, Zodiac landings will reveal panoramas the likes of which you have never seen before. With luck, your travel diary will include encounters with musk oxen and reindeer. Your team of experts are also happy to tell you inspiring historical accounts of the region – from the Inuit culture to the expeditions of Knud Rasmussen and Robert Edwin Peary. Sparkling Disko Bay offers a special finale. You’ll be right at the centre of this spectacle of drifting ice sculptures as you cruise and ride in the Zodiacs.

---- The ice conditions determine the course here (see map).

The itinerary depends on official approval, weather and ice conditions. The natural experiences and wildlife sightings described are possibilities on this expedition and are not guaranteed.
