With the collapse of the U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers ten years ago, the property and financial crisis in the U.S. reached Europe. The world witnessed the most severe shocks for the world economy since the 1930’s, with dramatic consequences. What is the situation like today? Is the next property bubble threatening to burst with similarly disastrous consequences? What have we learned from past mistakes? These questions will be discussed by Sabine Christiansen, with two selected financial experts as part of talk2christiansen.
Jürgen Fitschen is a senior adviser to Deutsche Bank. From 2012 - 2016, he was co-chairman of the management board of Deutsche Bank, and from 2013 - 2016 he held the post of president of the Association of German Banks. Dr Markus Krall has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, having held consultant and senior management roles with a focus on banking, insurance and regulatory issues. In 2017, he published the famous bestseller Der Draghi-Crash, about monetary policy in Europe.
