Since the formation of Tierra Negra in 1997, the two guitarists Raughi Ebert and Leo Henrichs can look back on an extraordinary international career. Their first concert took place right away in Montreal, Canada - and immediately drew a record deal with the biggest Canadian indie label.

The international success of their music brought concerts in many countries. Tierra Negra performed at the most important guitar festivals in the USA and gave master class workshops at the universities of Chicago, Peoria, Malibu and the L.A. Music Academy. Together with guitarist Muriel Anderson, who comes from Nashville, they have toured sixteen times through a total of thirty states in the USA.

They have also taken their music to China, South Korea and Singapore. They gave a guest performance at the "International Fingerstyle Guitar Festival" in the renowned "Oriental Music Hall" in Shanghai, China.

In the meantime, Tierra Negra has released fifteen CDs. Selections from their compositions have appeared on all relevant guitar compilations. They have created film and television music for public television in Germany. Their two instructional books "New World Flamenco" and "Magic Gypsy Chords & Rhythms", published by Truefire Inc. as DVD and Abostream, became instant bestsellers.

In the spring of 2001, Tierra Negra presented the "Tierra Negra Guitar" for the first time at the International Frankfurt Music Fair, which went on sale in the same year. Since 2005, the GIPSY KINGS have been performing exclusively with these guitars, designed by Tierra Negra itself. Since 2019, the Tierra Negra guitar model "Campfire" is available in the trade in the variants "Studio" and "Professional". In October 2020, the new Tierra Negra CD "Viva La Vida" will be released.

Tierra Negra has worked on stage and in the studio with Klaus Hoffmann, Muriel Anderson, Victor Wooten, Stanley Jordan, Jack Pearson, Vince Gil, James Burton, Mark Egan, Stu Hamm, Danny Gottlieb, Paul Wertico, Bernie Dressel, Bob Brozman, Phil Keaggy, Laurence Juber, Peppino D'Agostino, Benny Chong, Don Alder, Ganesh Anandan, Beth Nielsen Chapman, DJ Ram, Ramasutra, Peter Bursch, Raphael Marionneau, Ramon Zenker, Andry Nalin. Film recordings with the Gipsy Kings brought them to London's Abbey Road Studios. In Los Angeles, they recorded songs with Stanley Jordan for his new CD in the Foo Fighters' studio in "Studio City".
