THE PERFECT SETTING FOR ART
Set sail and discover the world of art – art2sea welcomes prominent artists, gallerists, art experts and curators from great museums. Cooperations with renowned experts reveal fascinating insights into the international art world. Exclusive exhibition, gallery and museum visits offer you a look behind the scenes.
Sat 05.03 Santa Barbara – Sandpiper Golf Club
This typically American golf course offers spectacular views of the fairways. Gaze at the Pacific and the surrounding mountains as you progress along the course. The challenging holes ensure this course is the complete package. Wide fairways with well-chosen bunkers lead to spacious greens, each with their own particular features.
Mon 07.03 San Diego – Singing Hills Golf Resort
Nestled in the Dehesa Valley in the San Diego hinterland, you will find 36 first-class championship holes. The Oak Glen Course features very wide fairways and large, fast greens. Particularly interesting is the 400 m (1,312 ft) fifth hole, which requires you to conquer a river before reaching the green. The Willow Glen Course demands plenty of course management with its narrow fairways, well-positioned bunkers and several dog-leg holes.
Thu 10.03 Cabo San Lucas – Cabo del Sol Golf Club
Enjoy these two 18-hole masterpieces designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf right on the south coast of Baja California Sur. Both the Ocean Course (Nicklaus) and Desert Course (Weiskopf) play with the natural dune landscape in their designs. Although all 18 holes present a challenge on both courses, this will prove a breathtaking game overall.
Sat 12.03 Puerto Vallarta – Vista Vallarta Club de Golf
You might feel a bit of deja vu here, because this club also has two challenging 18-hole courses designed by grandmasters Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf. Once again, they feature wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers. The only significant difference is the natural conditions, thanks to the course’s location. For example, the course designed by Jack Nicklaus features many palm trees and large fig trees.
Fri 18.03 Puntarenas – La Iguana Golf Course
Altogether 14 of the holes on this course lead players through breathtaking jungle landscape. Accordingly, certain features may prove distracting: close to 50 extraordinary species of bird, including the yellow-billed toucan, will watch your progress from the undergrowth. Despite some very narrow, and very difficult, stretches of fairway, this will prove an exceptional golfing experience.
