Spain’s third-largest city, which features a fascinating old town and the futuristic City of Arts & Sciences, invites you to take a stroll or go on a city tour*. A journey along the orange route* is a must in Valencia – after all, citrus fruits shape the region’s character.

Picasso’s birthplace awaits you with a number of ancient buildings and is the starting point for a journey to Granada and the world-famous Alhambra*, Europe’s most important Moorish building, and for an excursion* to Andalusian Mijas with a wine tasting session.

This Andalusian city is a slice of Africa in Spain: narrow alleys and white flat-roofed houses. It’s a short journey to Seville*, birthplace of flamenco, with its tapas bars and the old Alcazar royal palace. Neighbouring Jerez* is home to magnificent horses and fine sherry.

Overnight stay on board
A tram ride through streets decorated with tiles will help you understand why romantic yet melancholy fado developed here. Lisbon is colourful and shaped by an unspoilt, aesthetic culture. Explore the most charming architectural areas of Baixa, the lower town, and Bairro Alto, the upper town, which you can reach on the Gloria funicular. After one final night on board, your cruise on the EUROPA 2 comes to an end.
