Cultural riches and scenic contrasts make South America an eclectic destination. Exciting natural experiences will be unforgettable – such as a scenic journey* to the deep-blue Lago Todos los Santos and a kayak tour* on Lake Llanquihue*. It then becomes icy when the EUROPA 2 cruises by the tremendous Pio XI Glacier. The Torres del Paine National Park* is spectacular, the branched waterways of the Strait of Magellan are romantic, and the ice masses of the Garibaldi Glacier are a vibrant blue. Animal lovers can go on a catamaran excursion through the Beagle Channel* to observation posts, and ornithologists will be fascinated by the Valdes Peninsula*. There are also sufficient days at sea planned into this cruise so that you can enjoy THE FREEDOM THAT TAKES YOU PLACES on board in all its forms.

You will learn more about its history in the former “prison” Museo Presidio. On a catamaran trip through the Beagle Channel*, take a detour to Sea Lion Island which, with a little luck, makes it possible to have interesting encounters with the native animal kingdom, which include Mageallan cormorants. The narrow-gauge railway, Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino*, runs through the centre of the Tierro del Fuego National Park past jagged rocks, tranquil lakes and fairytale forests to the “end of the world”.
Cruising alongside Cape Horn/Chile, 7.00 – 13.00 hrs
Relaxation at sea
Puerto Madryn/Argentina, 7.00 – 20.00 hrs
Two relaxing days at sea lie ahead before arriving at Puerto Madryn, which was founded in the mid 19th century by Welsh settlers. Valdes Peninsula* is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The nature reserve fascinates with its bird kingdom, and at Punta Norte there is a good chance of spotting elephant seals. While visiting an Estancia*, find out about the native way of life in the interior of the country. Enjoy true gaucho romanticism with a barbecue looking out over the grazing herds of cattle. On a walk along the coast*, once again feel the special character of this remote part of the world before two concluding days at sea and making a move homewards from Buenos Aires.

With their charming and diverse ensemble sound, these up-and-coming professional musicians give a high-tempo entertainment show which will be a pleasure for your ears and a source of many laughs.
The rich experience they provide and their light-hearted music make Nostalphoniker a highly popular ensemble. Over the years, their concert tours have brought them to Egypt, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia (twice) and even to the legendary Maxim’s in Paris. Two TV programmes on the current stage programme Die Comedian Harmonists sangen ..., which remembers the final concert of the Comedian Harmonists in Munich in 1934 through music and letters, made just as great an impact as the performances of Nostalphoniker at the Festival Night of the Bavarian State Opera and at the ZDF gala Prix Courage.
