The outlying island of LANGKAWI offers a first impression of Malaysia’s diversity. With white beaches, splashing waterfalls and mangroves, it is considered the pearl of the country. The second largest city in Malaysia is GEORGE TOWN. The spirit of the country is reflected in the multicultural mix of Chinese stilt houses, modern malls and Buddhist temples – as well as in the hip street art on the colonial house facades.
