Mon 19.08.2024 Cobh, Ireland – Fota Island Golf Club Cork
This resort has 54 holes in total, with three parkland courses – Deerpark, Bevelly and Barryscourt. The Deerpark Course has already hosted the Irish Open twice. For all three courses, you will want to have a Strokesaver in your pocket, as it could prove extremely helpful with your course management.
Tue 20.08.2024 Bantry, Ireland – Bantry Bay Golf Club – Additional course
The combination of parkland and links course designed in 1975 by Christy O’Connor Junior lies right on Bantry Bay. There are views over the bay from 14 of the 18 holes, and you may catch sight of the MS Europa every now and then. Some of the fairways are very hilly so it is advisable to use a cart on this round. The original, traditional layout has some unusual surprises in store. You may find that the tee for one hole needs to be played across the green of the previous hole, for instance.
Fri 23.08.2024 Cowes (Isle of Wight), England – Freshwater Golf Club
This links course is situated right on the white limestone cliffs of the Isle of Wight. As you would expect, the course layout and the individual fairways have been characterised by the dune landscape. The natural aspect of the fairways combined with constant views of the white cliffs are what make this 18-hole course so appealing. The geographical location of the island also influences the ground conditions of the rustic fairways.
Sun 25.08.2024 Greenwich (London), England – The London Golf Club – International Course
What more could a keen golfer want than to have a go playing golf “the British way”? It’s no coincidence that the other name for this course is “Heritage”, since the legacy of the traditional sport is fully embodied here. It is everything you would imagine a typically English golf course to be. Broad fairways, high roughs, strategically placed bunkers, large, fast greens and all surrounded by nature. Those who play on this course will feel that they have travelled back in time to another golfing era.
