The climate here is influenced by the African continent, whereas the geology feels more like the European mainland. This is an excellent environment for golf, as you will find out on the courses on this cruise. And this tour is not just a special golfing experience – it is ideal for those who enjoy the exceptional.
Fri 11.11.2022 Casablanca, Morocco – Mazagan Golf Club
The South African Gary Player has designed a true links course in the Scottish style right on the Atlantic coast. The very wide fairways weave their way through the wild and unspoilt dune landscapes along the coast. Every tee and every stroke becomes a unique experience in the harmonious maritime setting.
Sun 13.11.2022 Funchal (Madeira), Portugal – Clube de Golf Santo da Serra
In 1991, star architect Robert Trent Jones Sr redesigned and modernised the original golf course from 1937 into a 27-hole experience. He managed to combine the available plateau into a unique mix of spacious fairways and breathtaking nature. There are plenty of views of the bay of Machico as you play.
Thu 17.11.2022 San Sebastian (La Gomera), Spain – Tecina Golf
Above Playa de Santiago, it’s hard to choose between the views and the game when you visit this golf course for a round on its terraced design. View after breathtaking view of the blue Atlantic provide such an amazing distraction that the 18 holes with their well-tended greens and mainly straight fairways will almost fade into the background. There are Canary Island palms all around the course, as well as ancient agaves and prickly pears.
