Tue 16.08.2022 Leith – Royal Burgees Golf Club
A round of golf on one of the world’s oldest courses should be an experience in itself. Clubs have been swung on this course since 1735. A hint of tradition remains in every single blade of grass. A natural course with healthy proportions that challenges its guests, but not too much.
Sun 21.08.2022 Belfast – Royal Belfast Golf Club – additional course
Ireland’s oldest golf club was founded in 1881 and made a royal golf course in 1885 by King Edward VII. Originally a six-hole course, it quickly evolved to nine holes before becoming a “true” 18-hole parkland course. The fairways may have a modern design today, but can’t deny their royal roots. This becomes particularly clear when you enter the historic clubhouse after your game.
Mon 22.08.2022 Dublin – The Island Golf Club
Play on one of Ireland’s best championship links courses. The breathtaking dune landscape on the peninsula north of Dublin is a highlight for the sport. In places, the interesting design positively snakes through the dunes, the classic fairways flanked by the dunes left and right. The fairways demand careful play – very pronounced undulations will affect your game in places. And if that weren’t enough, unpleasant pot bunkers appear before the greens as you approach your destination.
Tue 23.08.2022 Liverpool – Formby Hall – Old Course
From the offer of typical English golf courses, a special specimen is waiting here. The par 72, 18-hole course is a mixture of links and parkland course with clear lines, which is peppered with numerous pot bunkers. These sand hazards, so distinctive, are strategically placed in the fairways, so they have a certain magical effect on the game. With this in mind, you should definitely use the warm-up time before the round to familiarize yourself with the challenges of a bunker landing.
Thu 25.08.2022 Fowey – St. Mellion International Resort – Kernow Course
The Kernow Course is one of Cornwalls’ must-play courses. Its unique routing makes every fairway a particular challenge – especially given the terraces that recur throughout this parkland course. Players should therefore be as familiar as possible with slopes, or quickly practise before the game. If you are, then there’s nothing to stop you enjoying this excellent golf course.
