Fri 28.01.2022 Broome – Broome Golf Club
This red and green outback course is located in the north-west of the continent. A blend of red sand and green fairways, it can sometimes be a little hard on the eyes. It also challenges the way you play, for example when taking your shot. Its location means that the terrain on the fairways can often be very hard.
Wed 02.02.2022 Fremantle – Royal Fremantle Golf Club
It may be hard to believe, but Western Australia has a true parkland course, even if the flora around the fairways looks a little different to what you normally see. The sometimes very wide fairways are lined with palm and eucalyptus trees. Don’t be surprised if you spot the occasional koala bear watching you play. The architect had plenty of fun designing this course, and has incorporated many small bunkers at strategically interesting points.
Sat 05.02.2022 Albany – Albany Golf Club
The green south of the continent is home to a truly green golf course. On this long course, up to three fairways run parallel to the strip of coastline at Middleton Bay. This means that the layout is generally very straight and offers almost constant, distracting views of the blue ocean.
Thu 10.02.202 Adelaide – Royal Adelaide Golf Club
The Royal Adelaide Golf Club is one of six golf courses located directly in the city. This “royal” course is known for its very wide fairways and large pot bunkers sometimes as deep as a person is tall. These sand traps, designed in the British fashion, guard most of the greens. So before you start your game, use your warm-up time in the practice bunker.
Born in Berlin in 1982, Hanna Baum has the highest grade from the PGA (G1) as well as a level-A trainer licence from the DGV. One of her main areas of focus is golf fitness and health.
From the outback to the “royal” parkland course, this cruise to Australia offers a wide range of golfing experiences thanks to its varying climates.
