Or take in the grand natural wonders of Borneo on a boat trip on the Kinabatangan River*.
Puerto Princesa/Palawan/Philippines, 9.30 – 19.30 hrs
The Philippines consist of 7,000 islands whose inhabitants will welcome you with a hearty Mabuhay! Palawan is one of the most primeval islands. On a trip through the countryside*, you can meet two very different members of the local fauna when you visit the crocodile and butterfly farm*. A boat trip* through Honda Bay will take you to sandy beaches and hours of relaxed bathing in the South China Sea.

This island province will entice you with its diversity. The Chocolate Hills* are a natural phenomenon. According to legend, these conical hills, exceeding 1,200 in number, are the tears of a giant. It is much more likely that these are the remains of coral reefs which rose out of the sea long ago. Following the footsteps of the colonial era, in rural Bohol* you can visit the Blood compact moument, dedicated to the friendship between the Spanish and Bohol’s chieftain Sikatuna. The more adventurous can explore the Abatan River* in kayaks and enjoy a glimpse of the simple everyday lives of the natives through the dense vegetation on the riverbanks.
