General Terms and Conditions of the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Club

Every customer of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises can become a member of the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Club, and by so doing will automatically participate in the club’s bonus miles programme. 

Membership commences after payment of the admission fee of € 150 per person and the issuing of the membership number by the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Club. You will pay an annual fee of € 50 per person, per calendar year. Membership will expire automatically if the annual fee is not paid by the date specified by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. After leaving the club, any collected bonus miles may still be used for cruises commencing within the next twelve months. No annual fee is payable in the year of joining.

A personal bonus mile account will be maintained for every club member. The club membership number is also the number of the bonus mile account. You will be informed whenever the status of your account changes. In addition, you will receive regular information about current offers for using your bonus miles.

Bonus miles are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. They will only be credited to the member who has actually accrued them. All offers are awarded subject to availability only. No bonus miles will be credited for cruises for which Hapag-Lloyd Cruises does not act as the tour operator nor for cruises at reduced or special rates, unless this is expressly stated in the respective offer. Moreover, no bonus miles can be collected Private Jet Travel.

The acquired bonus miles will remain fully valid for five years in all cases. They will expire only if no further cruises are undertaken within this period.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises reserves the right to amend the bonus miles programme or to terminate it subject to a reasonable period of notice.

After termination of club membership by the customer, any collected bonus miles may still be used for cruises commencing within the next twelve months. Club fees already paid will not be refunded.

The member agrees to the storage of personal data and its use for internal purposes. Any taxes or other obligations incurred as a result of participation in the bonus miles programme are the responsibility of the club member.
