Late in the evening, the EUROPA 2 sets a course from Venice to Ravenna, which is particularly well known for its mosaics. On the next day, you arrive in Split, where you can visit Diocletian’s Palace and the historic city centre. The landmark of Mostar*, the Stari Most bridge, has been restored to its former glory, whilst Trogir and Salona* reveal their mediaeval and Roman pasts. Korcula was named after its black pine forests and the EUROPA 2 cruises into the Bay of Kotor, which extends far inland offering idyllic views of the countryside. Budva* is one of the oldest settlements on the Balkan Peninsula and was restored to its original form following destruction by an earthquake. The cathedral at Otranto is a masterpiece of Apulian architectural artistry and the “Florence of the South”, Lecce*, is a vision of baroque architecture. Your cruise will draw to a close in the natural port of Valletta.
