Kerkyra/Corfu/Greece, 8.00 – 18.00 hrs

The morning after the next, we will reach Kerkyra on Corfu. The second largest of the Ionian Islands – according to myth, the god of the sea Poseidon abducted the nymph Gorgyra and brought her here – is ideal for exploring it by off-road vehicle*. And a walk through Corfu City* with its Italian-style winding alleys as well as the nearby Achilleion* - the world-famous estate commissioned by Empress Elisabeth of Austria with its sculpture park – will also be an unforgettable experience in connection with your cruise.

Dubrovnik/Croatia, 8.00 – 24.00 hrs

The following day Croatia’s Dubrovnik, the “pearl of the Adriatic”, proves to be steeped in history. Its old district, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, is encompassed by an almost two kilometres long city wall that can be walked on along the entire length. With its churches, monasteries, the picturesque alleys and the gorgeous city hall, Dubrovnik’s historic district is one of the most beautiful spots on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. In the surroundings, attractions well worth your while include the botanical garden of Trsteno* and tasting oysters in the small town Ston*. Alternatively, you could visit the islands Lopud* and Sipan*. With their Mediterranean vegetation, the lemon gardens as well as olive and pine groves, these little natural paradises located merely a few nautical miles off the coast of Dubrovnik are havens of tranquillity and beauty.

Hvar/Croatia, 8.00 – 16.00 hrs

A visit to the romantic historic district of Hvar on the island of the same name will fascinate you the next day. Here, the fortress Spanjol proudly towers over the city. Defensive walls wind their way down to the centre, magnificent palaces and churches can be admired along the seaside promenade and in little alleys. A drive* across Croatia’s longest island in the course of which you can taste some typical wines from the quaint cellars ensures a pleasurable and multifaceted day.

Back on board, you will cruise with the EUROPA 2 through the Croatian island world which, with more than 1,000 isles, presents an almost exhilarating picture-perfect setting. Rovinj, Croatia’s most Italian city, will also mesmerise you. The bell tower of St. Euphemia’s Basilica stands tall over the numerous galleries and shops. A walk through the nearby enchanting city of Pula* with the impressive amphitheatre dating back to the 2nd century BC and an olive oil tasting* or a visit to the town of Porec* including its magnificent Euphrasian Basilica atmospherically round off your day.

The following morning, you will arrive in lovely Venice – which is where your ship will be staying for the night. Plenty of time to explore the venerable city with the Piazza San Marco, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and much more. A tour of discovery off the beaten tourist tracks, a guided walk* takes you through the picturesque Cannaregio quarter where the Jewish community used to live. And on the trails of Venetian painters, we will visit places such as the Museo del Settecento* with paintings by Tiepolo, Longhi and Canaletto – a feast for art enthusiasts. At the end of your cruise, you can take the experiences of this picturesque route home with you in your mind.
