Everywhere you go, you can see the city’s impressive landmark, the Giralda. The clock tower of the world’s largest Gothic cathedral was initially built as a minaret. The former caliphate of Cordoba was a flourishing city in the Islamic world. In the prayer hall of the richly decorated Mezquita cathedral, more than 850 columns are a reminder of the city’s glory days. Jerez de la Frontera* is also home to some fine treasures. Admire the splendid Andalusian horses at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art*.
