This journey will delight you with the following program

Golf – off for some royal rounds – 16th MS EUROPA Golf Cup

Sun 14 Aug Cowes, Isle of Wight, England – Freshwater Bay Golf Club (Additional course 1)
This somewhat short 5,235 m, par 69 18-hole course is situated right on Freshwater Bay in the south-west of the island. The effects of the wind have influenced the compact layout on every fairway and make for a considerable challenge.

Tue 16 Aug Dunmore East (Waterford), Ireland – Waterford Castle Golf Club
This par 72 championship course lies in the middle of the Kings Channel on its own island, on which the 18 fairways of the course are arranged in a very harmonious way. The course... Read more

The course takes its name from the 16th-century castle, which is also situated on the island.

Wed 17 Aug Dublin, Ireland – Portmarnock Golf Club
This course is a challenge of nature. A blend of the best of British country house style and a links course awaits. There is a clear view from almost every fairway and the sea wind comes in from just about every “corner”. It’s worth asking the pro here for a few tips on Scottish play.

Thu 18 Aug Liverpool, England – Royal Liverpool Golf Club
Experience golfing tradition at its finest. The club, founded in 1869, can look back on a number of international tournaments on the classic links course. Most recently, the best golfers in the world played on this natural course at the British Open in 2014. The course requires excellent accuracy: once a ball lands in the rough, it is as good as gone.

Fri 19 Aug Ayr, Scotland – The Westin Turnberry
Another highlight is the classic Scottish Turnberry resort. All three 18-hole courses offer the best examples of traditional Scottish golf course architecture. The natural geography of the landscape determines the course layout here. The Ailsa Course alone has already hosted the British Open four times over.

Sun 21 Aug Kirkwall, Orkney Islands – Stromness Golf Club (Additional course 2)
This lovely, straightforward golf course is ideal for a practice round between courses. The 4,400 m long course, par 65 for men and par 69 for ladies, has seven par 3 and eleven par 4 holes, which are laid out very symmetrically next to one another.

Mon 22 Aug Invergordon, Scotland – Tain Golf Club
Simple in layout but not straightforward to play. The course (par 70) is limited in size thanks to the natural landscape, which therefore underlines its links qualities. The course is par 73 for ladies.

Tue 23 Aug Leith (Edinburgh), Scotland – Royal Burgess Golf Club
Golf has been played here since 1735, making it one of the oldest golf courses in the world. A natural course, which challenges players with its healthy lengths. Look forward to a beautiful and historic round of golf!
