A great artist, up close and personal: Max Herre, hip-hop star and an exceptional performer, will be boarding the EUROPA 2 for an exclusive concert! Since his time with the group Freundeskreis in the 1990s, the singer and composer has been one of the German music scene’s most outstanding talents. His current – and already legendary – MTV Unplugged concert and album Kahedi Radio Show have captivated critics and the public alike. “I am very thankful and lucky to have been able to work with some of the absolute best on this project, many of them long-time friends and companions”, said Max Herre on his extraordinary concert. And he will be bringing not just his band to the EUROPA 2, but also three of his closest companions: Afrob, Megaloh and special guest Joy Denalane. Look forward to fantastic and intimate performances spanning rap and hip hop, soul and jazz, heart and passion.

Regina Halmich, professional boxer

Regina Halmich was born in Karlsruhe in 1976, where she grew up and trained as a paralegal. Her sporting ambitions began at the age of 11, with judo. She switched to karate and kick-boxing three years later, and subsequently to boxing. As an amateur boxer, she won three German championships and became European Champion in 1994. She continued her professional career in the super flyweight and flyweight classes. During her career, Regina Halmich has fought in 56 professional bouts, 48 of them World Championship events in which she secured 46 victories, suffered just one defeat and achieved one draw. On 30 November 2007, 8.8 million viewers watched her become World Champion. Since the end of her boxing career, Regina Halmich has occasionally appeared as a co-presenter, engaged in social welfare projects for the Weisser Ring association, and is the patron of the German Olympic Sports Federation’s campaign against domestic violence (“Gewalt gegen Frauen – nicht mit uns”).


Sven Ottke, professional boxer, nickname: “The Phantom”

Sven Ottke was born in Berlin in 1967. He grew up in the city and began learning to box at the Spandauer BC 26 Berlin club at the age of 14. Just two years later, aged 16, he became the German Junior Champion. After leaving school, he trained first as a plasterer and later as an industrial clerk. Sven Ottke has won a total of 11 German championships, taken part in three Olympic Games and took home a bronze medal at the 1989 World Championships in Moscow at the age of 21. He turned professional in 1997 and won all 34 of his professional bouts, always with trainer Ulli Wegner at his side. On 27 March 2004, he retired on a victory, an unbeaten champion who successfully defended his title 23 times. Sven Ottke has three children, loves to play golf and is a passionate long-distance runner.
