Portofino/Italy, 8.00 – 17.00 hrs
This picturesque and tiny port with its colourful fishermen’s houses is actually a favourite meeting point for the jet set. Civitavecchia (Rome), 7.00 – 19.00 hrs
Go shopping in the Via Condotti, enjoy a cappuccino on the Piazza Navona or take a detour to see the Trevi Fountain: explore Rome* exactly as you wish on a city tour. As you visit the Colosseum or St Peter’s Basilica, you can expect to get some unforgettable insights into the city’s history, which dates back more than a thousand years. Modern art is what you can expect to find in the Tarot Garden*. Mirrored mosaics, colourful tiles and original sculptures make this “magical garden” designed by Niki de Saint Phalle a colourful world of discovery.

Capri, 8.00 – 0.00 hrs
Bougainvillea flowering on the white chalk cliffs against the backdrop of the endless blue of the ocean – the changing light bathes Capri in different colours throughout the day and gives it a special kind of magic, which has already inspired many artists and writers.

The legacy of ancient times and baroque architecture are what characterise the old town on the Ortigia peninsula, which was celebrated by Cicero as one of the most beautiful cities. Etna is also the stuff of legends. Take the cable car* up to the high plateau of Europe’s mightiest volcano. Sicilian cuisine* is an art in itself: a visit to the market will whet your appetite, before you get the chance to see and taste what’s cooking in a typical country house.

| Sat, 01.10.2016 |
Ibiza/Balearic Islands/Spain, 8.00 – 0.00 hrs
Our ideas for visiting the island on your own include starting with a little shopping before wandering up to the fortified upper town. Behind the city walls, you can discover the Moorish legacy of the Dalt Vila, which will take you back in time with its medieval houses and cobbled streets. Away from the city, this pretty Balearic island still has some quiet spots. Explore the countryside, where pines and almond trees grow, the scent of oranges and lemons hangs in the air and white villages and romantic fincas lie hidden. Towards evening is the best time to head for San Antonio beach. Round off your day with a cocktail and enjoy the view of the outlying islands, behind which the sun slowly disappears.
