England (Scilly Isles , Penzance )
Nature will seize the sceptre when you first encounter the United Kingdom. The Scilly Isles, which are part of Cornwall, owe their mild climate to the Gulf Stream. After landing, you will feel like you are in the tropics when you visit the spectacular Abbey Gardens – surrounded by succulents, aloe plants and rare trees. Subtropical trees also grow in the city park of Penzance – the flair of the harbour and the long beach promenade will certainly prove just as delightful. You can also enjoy the views of Cape Cornwall as part of a hike along the coast*. You can reach the tidal island of Sant Michael’s Mount* on foot during low tide and by boat during high tide. Just like the French Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, the castle on the mountain is a famous former pilgrimage site. Its interior will transport you back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

Dublin/Ireland, from 8.00 to 0.00 hrs
Dublin can tell the story of Ireland in the style of Oscar Wilde, a native of the city. Perhaps his Canterville Ghost strayed into the monastic settlement of Glendalough and the gardens of Powerscourt*. Walking to the ruins of the monastic site, the wind will seem to be whispering secrets through the meadows and oak forests. There are no words to describe the breathtaking views of the Irish Sea that you can enjoy as you hike along the cliffs from Bray to Greystones*.
Fri, 05.06.2015
Douglas/Isle of Man/England, from 9.00 to 18.00 hrs
Between the waves lies the impressive countryside of the Isle of Man, shaped by gentle hills and valleys and picturesque bays and dunes along a 160 km coastline. Follow the Celts and Vikings and discover the countryside for yourself – and in style as part of a journey on a steam train to Rushen Castle*, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Europe.

Scotland (cruise in the Sound of Islay, Iona Island )
Scottish treasures as far as the eye can see
Sun, 07.06.2015
Skye, from 8.00 to 15.00 hrs
When you land at the picturesque fishing village of Portree on Skye with the Zodiacs, you will encounter colourful life. Colourful facades stand in contrast to black cliffs and green highlands. Explore Scotland’s lochs, mountains and bays on a scenic northern journey*, or backdrops from the film Highlander and one of the most photographed Scottish scenes on a visit to Eilean Donan Castle*.
Mon, 08.06.2015
Kirkwall/Orkney Islands, from 7.00 to 15.00 hrs
Steep cliffs and dreamlike coastal villages: the Orkney Islands always have new expedition moments in store. Setting out from Kirkwall with its imposing St Magnus Cathedral, discover the historic treasures of Orkney*, including the Stones of Stenness, the Ring of Brodgar and the Neolithic village of Skara Brae. Instead of exploring the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can enjoy breathtaking natural beauty on a hike along the cliff line*.
Tue, 09.06.2015
Leith (Edinburgh), from 8.30 to 0.00 hrs
Enjoy royal society when you travel to Leith: the Britannia, the former Royal Yacht, has been anchored in Edinburgh since 1997. Equally majestic, the castle in the centre of the city is perched on an extinct volcano and counts among the many highlights of Edinburgh*. Alternatively, in the heart of the council area of Midlothian, you can unravel the mysteries of the extensively decorated, legendary Rosslyn Chapel*, which gained international renown after appearing in a bestseller by Dan Brown.
Wed, 10.06.2015
Eyemouth, from 9.00 to 18.00 hrs
The former smuggling den of Eyemouth rounds off your royal experiences: be it heavenly views of the ruined monastery and castle of the mystical Holy Island* or in the Howick Hall Gardens for tea* at the ancestral seat of the Earls Grey – a truly British-style conclusion.
