Alaska’s beauty in the wild
On the HANSEATIC, you can get really close to the wonders of Alaska – for instance, in Amalik Bay and the spectacular Kukak Bay, where mighty brown bears are in search of food. From the Zodiac, with a little luck, you will be able to see these imposing animals in the wild. To make it possible for you to experience nature close up, the HANSEATIC cruises frequently through this impressive world of fjords.

Or take a kayak tour in Resurrection Bay* – dolphins and bald eagles call this rugged stretch of coastline home.

Cruising past the Hubbard Glacier and Point Adolphus
An overwhelming world of ice awaits you at the still active Hubbard Glacier: the HANSEATIC is in its element here and, depending on the conditions, it safely channels its way through ice floes towards the edge of the glacier, so that you can marvel at the bizarre ice formations up close. A view of magnificent landscapes also await you on a trip through the Inian Pass, which culminates in Point Adolphus. This popular summer home for families of humpback whales provides unforgettable moments as you watch these gigantic marine mammals.

At Lynn fjord in Haines, you can feel the pull of the gold rush of 1898, to which thousands of gold miners succumbed. You can find their numerous traces on the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway* excursion, which leads you through the alpine world of the Coast Mountains.
