The city centre was one of Europe’s grandest royal capitals 200 years ago and the narrow streets of the old town are still filled with Sicilian charm. You’ll also find this charming atmosphere in Catania. The city at the foot of Mount Etna is also called the “Milan of the South” and offers a beautiful panorama with its many orange trees and olive groves. There are equally fabulous views to be seen in the small town of Sorrento with its incomparable location on the steep black cliffs of the Gulf of Naples.
