    Circus Roncalli

    The best circus in Europe (Herald Tribune) has been wowing its audience for 40 years. With the programme “Die Reise zum Regenbogen” (Journey to the rainbow), founder and director Bernhard Paul has been hailed an innovator of circus art and has created a veritable work of art with Roncalli. It is truly a fairy-tale circus and made with much love for detail. Now the dream circus is off on a cruise and is bringing a selection of hand-picked artists to the stage in a poetic programme.

    Chin Meyer, born 1959 in Hamburg, studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in London. He appeared in several movies (directed by Vivian Naefe and Paul Harather, amongst others). Since 1997 he has been developing several Stand-Up Comedy Programs and was first successful with the IRS-Agent „Siegmund von Treiber“ at the Theatre-Restaurant „Pomp, Duck and Circumstance“ in 2000.     The monks of the Shaolin Monastery in the Chinese province Henan, who celebrated the 1500th anniversary of their temple in 1995, decided to present their art to a broad public in honour of the occasion. They engaged the producer, Herbert Fechter, to develop a stage show which would effectively present the basic philosophy of Zen Buddhism and the fantastic meditation techniques of Qi Gong along with the spectacular exercises of the Hard Qi Gong to audiences.

In his Wort-trifft-Musik (Word meets music) programmes, he gives concerts with actors such as Klaus Maria Brandauer, Hannelore Elsner, Martina Gedeck and Gudrun Landgrebe.

Mechthild Großmann is one of the most popular German audio book narrators and a sought-after performer of literary texts.

    For her work she has been honoured with various awards such as the acting-award of the Hessische Theatertage. She was nominated for the Deutscher Hörbuchpreis a couple of times and has won the BEO, the German Childeren’s Audio Book Award, twice in a row (2015, 2016).
