Kiel Canal
A rather surprising superlative: the Kiel Canal is the busiest artificial shipping lane in the world. At almost 100 km in length, it runs through the traditional northern German countryside. Your private veranda will become your box seat and the EUROPA 2 a luxurious experience for your body and soul, be it in the seven gourmet restaurants on board or with exclusive treatments in the OCEAN SPA.

Copenhagen/Denmark, 8.00 – 18.00 hrs

The Danish capital serves every purpose: seat of parliament, royal residence, design laboratory, art metropolis and architectural Mecca, and is famous for its casual lifestyle, be it in the free town of Christiania or in trendy districts such as Nyhavn, which is lined with cafes, restaurants and original shops. You can explore Copenhagen by land, sea or air on foot, on a boat trip* or on an aerial tour*, respectively. Alternatively, take a ride on the historic carousels in Tivoli Gardens*, one of the oldest leisure parks in the world.

Copenhagen street food.
It is fashionable to eat here: creative minds, trendsetters and tourists converge on two warehouses on Papiroen (which translates as “paper island”). Street food vendors prepare fresh, regional sustainable dishes and DJs and live music maintain the right atmosphere over an area of 2,300 m2.

Aarhus/Denmark, 8.00 – 14.00 hrs
Cruising off the western coast of Samsos in the afternoon

Travel back in time at the prehistoric Moesgaard Museum* and the open-air museum Dem Gamle By*. Enjoy the present in numerous cafes or on a relaxed stroll around the shops. And take a look into the future, with the spectacular architecture of the third millennium. Your Rainbow Panorama by the artist Olafur Eliasson adorns the art museum ARoS and provides wonderful panoramic views of the city. Whatever you want to do, explore the 2017 European Capital of Culture while it is still a little-known gem.
