In the morning, the EUROPA 2 will cruise past the picturesque villages of Cinque Terre, huddled together on the cliffs. Later on, you will be able to stroll along the promenade in colourful Portofino, with its inviting cafes. Or you can climb up the steps to the San Giorgio church, where you will be rewarded with a fantastic view over the sea and the bay. A boat trip to Santa Margherita and Rapallo** will take you to see some of the hidden treasures of the Ligurian Riviera, whilst on a kayak and snorkelling adventure** you can see Portofino’s prettiest bays and an impressive underwater world.

The cathedral, which was built over the remains of an Arabian mosque, and the famous Mercado Central stand in contrast to the visionary side of the city. In the dried up river bed, an impressive glass and steel building has been erected to house the City of Arts and Sciences – designed by leading architect Santiago Calatrava.
